In order to address the unique program needs of Early Head Start, which provides services to pregnant mothers and children age birth to 3, regular meetings of Early Head Start staff are sponsored by the Grantee Program Support Unit. The meetings are attended by multi-disciplinary staff to discuss program issues and to receive training on various topics in maternal and infant/toddler health and nutrition, infant/toddler and family mental health, education, and special education/early intervention.
