The Impact of Head Start/Early Head Start in Sacramento County

Head Start Fact Sheet

  • More than 70,000 Sacramento low-income preschool children and families have benefited from Head Start services since 1965.

  • Sacramento County has 107 Head Start/Early Head Centers housing more than 239 classes, including one center service homeless children and families.
