SETA Head Start Curriculum

Preparing for Kindergarten

outideSETA's approach to Child Development Services respects and supports each child's individual rate of development as well as individual interests, temperament, language, cultural background, and learning style.

SETA Head Start preschool curriculum integrates Creative Curriculum with the Project Approach (Themes). The Goals and Objectives of the curriculum were written to coincide with and support the measures used to assess children through the DRDP-r Assessment Tool. SETA Early Head Start uses Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers and Twos which is supported through the Early Head Start Teacher Tool Kit Supplement.

The curriculum goals are guidelines intended to encourage each child’s growth in the following areas:

  • Social-Emotional Development / Children are Personally and Socially Competent
  • Cognitive Development / Children are Effective Learners
  • Physical Development / Children Show Physical and Motor Competence
  • Children are Safe and Health
